The second hand clothing cycle & the aspect of sustainability

We started with the second hand online shop mainly because we come from the streetwear direction and were looking for an online shop that offers second hand clothing in large quantities at a fair price and where you can get your things quickly.

But the longer we dealt with the matter, the more the aspect of sustainability played an increasingly important role. Especially when you see how much vintage clothing is in circulation and how quickly you can get a large amount, we thought about it.

The simple formula !! New clothes in our shop = someone else's discarded clothes!! describes this thought very well.

After doing some research, we later realized that each cotton T-shirt (250g) has an average indirect water consumption of 2,495 liters (source: globalestshirt).

This means that we save at least 250,000 liters of water every week with our 100 new second-hand items that someone buys in the online shop.

-> For comparison, an average German (3L per day / 80 years) drinks about 90,000 liters.

We personally want to expand this much further so that we will soon not "only" save 250,000 liters but 3 million liters. It has to be said that the best "finds" this month really don't look bad!

-> Who doesn't like to save water?
