Founded in France in 1882 by Émile Camuset, the family business was only reorganized in 1920 by his son as a manufacturer of sportswear. In 1930, the first French football clubs were equipped with the sportswear, but it was not until 1950 that the brand was registered. LCS also equipped the participants of the Tour de France and in 1966 a close cooperation with adidas followed, where LCS mainly contributed its traditional knowledge of the textile industry. In 1974, LCS was completely taken over by Adidas, but remained an independent brand and now also equipped the winners of the soccer World Cup, Italy and Argentina, as well as important tennis players. The brand is characterized by the logo of the Gallic rooster, a French national symbol.
